1. Data Controller

2. General Data Processing

We process personal data of our users only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services. Your data will not be shared with third parties unless this is required for contract fulfillment or you have given explicit consent.

3. Data We Collect

3.1 Server Log Files

Our hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser automatically transmits. This includes:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL (previously visited page)
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data cannot be attributed to specific persons and is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and error-free operation of the website (Swiss FADP Art. 6 para. 2 lit. b). Retention period: Log files are deleted within 30 days.

3.2 Contact Form

If you send us an inquiry via the contact form, the details you provide (name, email address, message) will be stored for the purpose of processing your request and any follow-up questions. We do not share this data without your consent.

To prevent misuse, your IP address is temporarily used (max. 1 hour) to limit form submissions and is then deleted automatically. Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Swiss FADP Art. 6 para. 2 lit. b).

Legal basis for the form submission: Your explicit consent (Swiss FADP Art. 6 para. 7). Retention period: Data entered in the form will be deleted once the inquiry has been conclusively processed, no later than 2 years.

4. Cookies

This website uses only technically necessary cookies:

  • ddg_lang: Stores your language preference (EN/DE). Duration: 1 year. Not a tracking cookie. This cookie is only set when you actively click the language switcher and contains no personal data.

We do not use analytics, marketing, or tracking cookies. No data is passed to third parties for advertising purposes.

5. Hosting & International Data Transfer

This website is hosted on servers in Germany. The EU/EEA is recognized as a jurisdiction with adequate data protection under Swiss FADP Art. 16 para. 1 (FDPIC list of adequate states). A data processing agreement is in place with the hosting provider in accordance with Swiss FADP Art. 9. No data is transferred to countries without an adequate level of data protection.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights under the Swiss FADP (and where applicable the EU GDPR):

  • Right of access: You can request information about the data stored about you.
  • Right to rectification: You can have incorrect data corrected.
  • Right to erasure: You can request deletion of your data.
  • Right to restriction: You can request restriction of processing.
  • Right to data portability: You can receive your data in machine-readable form.
  • Right to object: You can object to data processing.

7. Automated Decision-Making

We do not make automated individual decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects for you (Swiss FADP Art. 21).

In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a high risk to your rights, we will notify you and the FDPIC as quickly as possible in accordance with Swiss FADP Art. 24.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy at any time in compliance with applicable data protection regulations. The date of the last amendment is indicated above.
